Verified SEBI Research Analysts publish their strategies; you subscribe and run them on your own broker account — with the creator's recipe protected and the performance numbers computed by the platform, never self-reported.
1Creator builds & provesA SEBI-registered RA builds a strategy in the Builder and runs it — the platform records every run.

The core deal: creators publish their edge without giving it away — subscribers get execution, not the formula. Deployments run on the subscriber's own broker account under the subscriber's own risk controls, and every listing's track record comes from the creator's actual runs on this platform.
Subscribers — the basics
What exactly am I buying when I subscribe?
The right to deploy the creator's strategy on your own broker account for the subscription month. The engine runs the creator's full recipe server-side on your account — entries, exits, stop-losses, adjustments — and you see every order, position and P&L in your own book. You are NOT buying the recipe itself: legs, strikes, conditions and adjustment logic stay hidden ("protected") on every screen and API response.
Where do the performance numbers on a listing come from?
They are computed by the platform from the creator's own runs of that exact saved strategy — trading days, win rate, total P&L, best/worst day, max drawdown and the equity curve. Creators cannot type in their own numbers. Paper and real runs both count and are the creator's actual executions recorded by the engine.
How do I know a creator is legitimate?
Every publishing creator is a SEBI-registered Research Analyst, manually verified by the FNOTrader admin team against the SEBI registry before their first listing can go live. Verified creators carry a green ✓ RA badge, and their registration number (INH…) is displayed on the listing — as SEBI requires. If a licence is later rejected or lapses, the creator's listings are automatically taken off the shelf.
Can I try a strategy without risking money?
Yes — after subscribing, deploy on a Paper account: simulated fills at live market prices, completely free, no broker needed. Watch it for as long as you like before pointing it at a real account. Paper runs never accrue profit-share fees either.
Do I need my own broker account?
For real-money deployment, yes — connect it once under Brokers → Broker Accounts (100+ brokers supported; the connection is shared across all FNOTrader apps). For paper testing, the built-in demo accounts work with no broker at all.
Can I see the strategy's rules after subscribing?
No — and this is by design, not a limitation. The recipe is the creator's intellectual property; protecting it is what makes publishing viable. What you DO see, in full: every order the strategy places on your account, live positions and MTM, the run's event log, and the listing's platform-computed track record.
Subscribers — fees & profit share
What can a subscription cost?
Each listing sets its own pricing, from three shapes:
Free — no fee at all.
Monthly fee — a fixed ₹/month for access; renews monthly, cancel anytime.
Profit share (0–50%) — a percentage of the net NEW profit the strategy makes in YOUR account, on top of or instead of the fee.
The full price is shown on the card and again in the subscribe dialog before you pay.
How exactly does profit sharing work? (the high-water mark)
Profit share applies only to real-money deployments, and only to net NEW profit — measured against your personal high-water mark for that strategy:
Each month, the platform totals the realized P&L of your real deployments of the listing.
If your cumulative P&L is above your previous invoiced peak, an invoice is generated for the creator's % of only the amount above that peak — and that new peak becomes your mark.
If the month was flat or a loss, no invoice is generated. The loss carries forward: nothing accrues until your equity curve passes the old peak again. You never pay twice on the same profit.
Worked example (20% share): Month 1 you make ₹10,000 → invoice ₹2,000, your mark is now ₹10,000. Month 2 the strategy loses ₹4,000 (cumulative ₹6,000) → no invoice. Month 3 it makes ₹7,000 (cumulative ₹13,000) → invoice on only the ₹3,000 above your ₹10,000 mark = ₹600, mark moves to ₹13,000.
Paper runs and forward tests never count. The calculation uses the engine's own recorded run results — the same numbers you see in your Stats.
Where do I see and pay profit-share invoices?
Marketplace → My subscriptions → Profit-share invoices — each invoice shows the period, the new-profit amount, the percentage and the exact math (your cumulative P&L and previous mark). Pay it there. An unpaid invoice blocks further real-money deployments of that strategy until cleared (paper stays open); your other strategies are unaffected.
How do I cancel? Is there a lock-in?
No lock-in — unsubscribe anytime from My subscriptions. New deployments stop immediately and access simply doesn't renew at the end of the paid month. Fees already paid for the current month aren't prorated.
Does deploying a marketplace strategy cost credits too?
The same platform billing applies as for your own strategies: paper deployments are free, your first concurrent live strategy is free on every plan, and additional concurrent live strategies use credits or a Retail/Creator plan. The marketplace subscription is the creator's fee; platform deployment costs are separate and identical to running your own strategies.
Subscribers — running & risk
Who controls the strategy once it's deployed on my account?
The engine executes the creator's recipe automatically — but on your account, under your control. You can pause, square off or cancel the run at any moment from your Strategies view, and your per-account RMS limits (funds cap, max quantity) apply to marketplace runs exactly like your own. The creator can never touch your account, see your balance, or place anything outside the subscribed strategy's own logic.
What happens if the platform restarts while my deployment is live?
The run resumes automatically — open positions are restored from the fill ledger, monitoring continues, and no position is ever re-entered twice. This is the same restart-resume that protects every strategy on the platform.
Will my results match the listing's track record?
Directionally yes, exactly no. Your fills happen at your moment's prices on your broker; the creator's record reflects their runs. Slippage, deployment timing, quantity and your own pause/stop decisions all create differences. Treat the track record as evidence of behaviour, not a promised return.
What if the creator's strategy starts losing?
Losses are yours — that's what "trades on your account under your responsibility" means. Your protections: the strategy's own built-in stop-losses run server-side; your account RMS caps bound the damage; you can square off or unsubscribe at any time; and with profit sharing you pay nothing while under water. Nothing here is guaranteed income — see the risk disclosure on every listing.
What happens if a creator delists or gets rejected while I'm subscribed?
A delisted/paused listing stops NEW deployments immediately. Your already-running deployment keeps operating under its own risk rules and your control — you decide whether to let it finish or square off.
Creators — getting started
Who can publish strategies?
Publishing requires both, in any order:
a SEBI Research Analyst registration, verified by the FNOTrader admin team, and
the Creator plan (the RA tier — it also includes unlimited backtests and live deploys).
Buying the plan does not unlock publishing by itself — verification is always required, and it is enabled manually by the admin team.
How does verification work, step by step?
Open Marketplace → Creator studio and fill your profile — this is your public storefront (name, headline, bio, contact).
Enter your SEBI RA registration number (INH…). Your status becomes ⏳ pending.
Hit “Contact admin for approval” — it opens Support with a pre-filled verification request. Our team checks your registration against the SEBI registry.
On approval, the studio shows ✓ verified and the Publish button unlocks. On rejection you'll see the reason; correct the number to re-submit.
Changing your RA number later resets you to pending (re-verification). Your registration number is displayed publicly on your listings, as SEBI requires.
Do I need a track record before publishing?
Practically, yes — a listing's performance panel is built ONLY from your own runs of that saved strategy on this platform (paper or real). A listing with no run history shows no performance and will convince nobody. Run your strategy — forward tests are free and count — and let the record accumulate before or after you publish.
Can a broken or untested strategy be published?
No — publishing dry-runs the execution engine's own validation. A recipe that can't deploy (missing legs, invalid configuration) is refused at publish time with the exact engine error, so subscribers never buy something that fails at launch.
Is my strategy's logic safe from copying?
Subscribers deploy a redacted copy: the engine runs your full recipe server-side, but their UI and API never expose your legs, strikes, entry/exit conditions or adjustment rules — at deployment and on every later fetch. They see their own orders and P&L, nothing about how you produced them.
Creators — earning
How do I make money?
Two levers, set per listing, combinable:
Lever
How it pays
Best for
Monthly fee
Fixed ₹/month per subscriber, collected at subscription and renewal.
Steady, predictable income independent of market conditions.
Profit share (0–50%)
Your % of each subscriber's net NEW real-money profit, invoiced monthly against their personal high-water mark.
Aligning your income with subscriber results — you earn when they do.
Your earnings summary (received / pending, per invoice) shows in Creator studio.
Why did a profitable month generate no profit-share invoice for a subscriber?
The high-water mark. If that subscriber was recovering from an earlier drawdown, profit only counts once their cumulative P&L passes their previous invoiced peak. This is deliberate and mirrors industry practice — subscribers never pay twice on the same profit, which is also what makes profit-share listings trustworthy enough to sell.
Do my own deployments of my listing accrue profit share?
No — your own runs are excluded from billing (they build your track record instead). Paper runs by anyone are excluded too. Only subscribers' real-money deployments accrue.
What happens if a subscriber doesn't pay an invoice?
Their further real-money deployments of YOUR strategy are blocked until the invoice is cleared. They keep access to paper.
Creators — managing listings
What goes into a listing?
Pick one of your saved strategies, then: title, one-line tagline, a full description (what it trades, when it enters/exits, risk management, expected behaviour in trending vs sideways markets), tags, capital required, and your pricing (fee and/or profit share). Write the description like the sales page it is — it's most of what a subscriber decides on, next to the track record.
Can I edit, pause or remove a listing?
Yes — update any listing field anytime; Pause takes it off the shelf (existing subscribers' running deployments continue; new deployments stop); Publish re-lists it (re-checked against your RA status and plan); Delist removes it permanently from browsing. Editing which saved strategy backs the listing re-validates it.
Can I improve the strategy after people subscribe?
Yes — the listing points at your saved strategy, so refinements flow to NEW deployments automatically. Running deployments keep the recipe they launched with (a live run's parameters never change under a subscriber mid-flight).
What can get my publishing access revoked?
A rejected or lapsed RA verification (all your published listings auto-pause and re-publishing locks until re-verified), an expired Creator plan (re-publishing locks until renewed), and — at the platform's discretion — misrepresentation of any kind. The reason is always shown in your studio.
Trust & compliance
What does the platform guarantee — and what does it not?
The platform guarantees the plumbing: creators are verified SEBI RAs; performance numbers are computed from real recorded runs; recipes stay protected; profit-share math follows the high-water mark exactly; deployments run with the same execution engine, risk controls and restart-safety as everything else on FNOTrader.
It does not guarantee outcomes: no return is promised or implied by anyone — creator or platform. Past performance, including a creator's real track record, does not guarantee future results.
Is this investment advice?
No. The marketplace is an execution service: subscribing runs a verified RA's strategy on your account under your instruction and control. Listings are not personalized recommendations; nothing here considers your individual financial situation. Algo trading is subject to market risk, slippage, connectivity and technical issues — monitor your account even with full automation.
What data does the creator see about me?
Almost nothing: your display name appears in their subscriber count/strip, and your profit-share invoices show amounts. They can never see your account balance, holdings, other strategies or broker details.
How are payments handled?
Subscription fees and profit-share invoices are collected through the platform's payment rails and itemised in your billing history. For payment disputes or GST invoices, use the in-app Support button.
